There Is Such A Thing As…

STRESS! OVER WORKING! and all that jazz…

*sighs* Man, I have been SO busy…

School is finally out, which deserves a huge WOOHOO!!! I have to do a class over again (no woohoo there…), but it’s Algebra, so…yeah… Anyway, I was so busy trying to get all of my homework done, I just forgot about having fun.

Well, actually that’s not entirely true. I started a DeviantArt page (that I actually started three years ago) and am now trying to make money off of it. Here’s the link!

http://glolinde.deviantart.com

Hope that my fans will go there and enjoy my art. And, maybe…just maybe…someone will buy something! LOL

Lets see…what else is going on…OH! I’m coloring my hair. It’s a dark brown right now, but I have desided to go RED! I’ve done it before and, or at least so I’m told, I look smashing as a red head. And I have so much Irish blood in me…

I’m also going to be getting a tattoo. I don’t know if it’ll be this month or next month when I’ll get it, but I’m definatly getting my first one. It was personally designed for me and it is fantastic! It is a violin and a rose and will be in full color and placed on my shoulder.

I started an AU (author’s universe, aka fan fiction) for the series Supernatural. I don’t want to go into to much detail (*hisses* No stealing my ideas), but you can go visit my page here:

http://www.fanfiction.net/~glolinde

I think that it’s pretty good, but I might be rewriting the first episode (first chapter is in several parts).

Anyway, that’s pretty much it. Sorry if this seems a little bit scattered brained, but I’m really busy. O_o

Cheers!

Make ‘Em Laugh! ~RIP Dom DeLuise

May 7th, 2009 -- Posted in Funny, Total Randomness | 1 Comment »

Just heard that Dom DeLuise died yesterday (Monday). I really loved him as an actor. Such a loss to the world now that he’s gone. :-(

Here’s my tribute to Dom…

Make ‘Em Laugh” was basically Dom’s motto. I couldn’t think of any words that would be adequate enough to illustrate how terrific as an actor, and human being, he was. As I was watching ‘Singing in the Rain,’ I immediately thought of Dom when Donald O’Connor started to sing this.

Rest in Peace, Dom. You’ll never be forgotten. And I will always love you as Urgo (only SG1 fans would get that).

Forever Isn’t Long Enough

Hello again!

Wow, it has been ages since I’ve posted here! I can’t believe how long it’s been. Let’s see what’s been going on…

I am doing the Script Frenzy thing that NaNoWriMo does in April. As the title suggests, it is when you have a month to write a 100 page script. So far, I’m on page 40, which is really good if you think about it. I came up with a title, called Abandon All Hope, based off of Dante’s ‘Inferno.’ Here is the text that I used to base my script off of:

Through me you pass into the city
of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal
pain:
Through me among the people lost
for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric
mov’d:
To rear me was the task of power
divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval
love.
Before me things create were none,
save things
Eternal, and eternal I endure.
Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

I love that verse. It is from ‘The Inferno.’ I changed the last line to make it fit with the movie title.

You should be able to get the general feel of my idea for the movie. All hope is abandoned, yadda yadda. It is based in the future, December 21, 2012 and aliens come to destroy the world as we know it. That is all I’m going to say because I don’t want someone to steal my idea.

Lets see…what else has happened…OH! There is a good possibility that I broke my ankle a few months back and I didn’t know it. I know, right? How would you not know that you broke your ankle? Well, it must have been a tiny bone, so I could have gone on with my life without knowing.

It was stupid how I did it, too. I was training in martial arts, kicking a punching bag. There was a guy in front of me that kicked it up right when I went to kick it. I couldn’t stop my foot and WHAM! I hit it full force. If I did it properly, I would have busted up my shin (probably get a techno colored bruise) and would be fine now. But, I didn’t. And I hit it full force. The punching bag didn’t move a bit, which just made it worse. So, now, I have to wait for the doctor to have an opening for me so I can get it checked out.

I don’t regret doing it, though. I love martial arts, and I miss it terribly. I haven’t been able to go for a few months (for health reasons) so, now, I’m out of shape. I’m working on getting back into shape, but it is hard because of my ankle. And, what is so funny is this: Because of my ankle, I have to accommodate for it, which is hurting my hip. Then I have to accommodate for that, which is really hurting my back, and that is connected to my neck. You know the song, “…the leg bone is connected to the hip bone…” yadda yadda? Never seen it in work like I do now.

Lets see…I think that’s pretty much it! I have to go back to work on my script before I loose this idea of mine.

I hope that everyone had a blessed Easter.

Okay, sorry, I just HAD to post that. I love that picture!

Everybody DANCE NOW!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to thank everyone for voting for me at Ajana. It means a lot to me, believe it or not. I am now in the finals, and soon to be onto the semi-finals. Come check back here for more info next week!

So, everybody dance now!

On a darker note, here is a new poem that I am writing. It is called ‘The Black Hand of Justice’ inspired by Within Temptation’s ‘Hand of Sorrow.’ Enjoy!! ((Remember! It is a work in progress!))

Picture done by me! :-)

The Black Hand of Justice

What is man,
But a selfish race dying for revenge?
A whisking willow,
A dying Hindu.

Mayhap a man dies cold and alone,
Or the rains accompany him to Hell?
A sinister child,
A butchered dog.

Turn your head into the wind, Michiko,
You must not eat the blood.
Thump in the night,
Break your bone.

Why do you cry?
Do you cry me tiny tears of silver?
Sing me a lullaby,
I cannot sleep ((ever, ever sleep)).

美千子 (Michiko) — child of a thousand beauties

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Translation(s):

I love you.
Forever…and ever

My Dearest,
There’s a special place in my heart
that only you can touch -
a place where I can go and feel you near.
Throughout the day I think of you.
I see your smile, hear your voice
and in my thoughts you lovingly appear.
The way we love each other
makes it hard to be apart
so when I can’t hold you in my arms,
I hold you in my heart.

My Darling,
With the start of each new day
I find myself thinking of you…
In the middle of my busy day,
my mind wanders and I think of you…
Out of nowhere I see your smile,
hear your laugh and I think of you…
Life is beautiful now because I fall in love
all over again each time I think of you.

My Kokuru

My Kokuru
by Grace Tilton

Sun standing out and beating on my face,
Like that of rain hitting a tree.
I looked for you, your familiar glance.

Your lips, a sacred ground,
Perfectly formed and colored.
Your eyes, like that of the water garden,
Sparkling water falling on the stones.
Your skin, the perfect tan-tone,
Soft like that of the cherry-blossom.

Oh, how I love you, my Kokuru.

You, you are the forbidden one.
How did I become the chosen?
Why did you choose me?
A simple redneck off the coast of Maine,
I have no value.

Ambassadors want you,
Kings would wed you,
But yet you choose me.
Why?

Why my Kokuru?

Half past the hour of night in mid-day, you are still not here.
Click, click, whoosh! goes my lighter with a bright flame,
I inhale deeply, and I think of you my dear…

What was that?
That scream, that crash in the distance.
As I stand to, ice-like rain runs over my body.

My Kokuru…

Run, I must.
Run like that of the wind in a thunderstorm.
Quick I must be,
Like that of lightning.

My lungs are about to burst,
My limbs are weaker,
My mind running faster than I,
I fear the worst.

Crash! goes the night sky.
A storm approaches, but is already here.
As I turn the corner, I see my Kokuru.
I see you, and I die inside.

Your lips are no longer perfectly formed and colored.
They are covered in your blood.
Your eyes are no longer sparkling like that of a water garden.
No longer sparkling with life,
For now they are dead.
And your skin,
Good God, your skin…

As I take you into my arms,
You are like that of a fish.
No longer can I feel your warmth.
No longer can I feel your heart beat against mine.
For you are no longer mine.

My Kokuru…
You belong to time now.
And as I cry, my tears landing on your hair,
I fall to my knees, praying for a miracle to bring you back to me.

Come back to me, my Kokuru.
Come back to me…

Kokuru - A Japanese word referring to a male’s confession of his love for a female. In relation to Japanese dramas as well as Japanese culture in general, kokuru is basically enough for a male. A typical statement made by a male in a drama is “Suki to ittandakara mou iiyo” (I said I love you, so that’s that).

Ho, hum, you know? Ever had one of those days? Just ho, hum?  Well, that’s how I’ve been feeling today, yesterday, and the day before that, etc, etc.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to complain. It is just so…ANNOYING! I’ve been trying to be creative with anything. A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. I’ve whipped out the good ol’ faithful: The pen and paper. But the only words that I managed to get was, “Once upon a time…”

I tried to draw something, but nothing. Just starred at it. It was hours ago and I still remember that darn piece of paper as if it were just a few minutes ago.

I even tried playing with True!!! GAH!!! Once again…nothing! I feel so crappy too, because I haven’t been playing with her lately. I promised her that I would try to get into that contest for the Carnegie Hall thing, and I’ve broken that promise. Talk about feeling rotten, you know? But, hey, she understands.

So, what does one do when they are in a creative slump? Write something like this. Yes, that’s right. Pathetic, right?

So, ho, hum. Hum, ho. Hooy, ho, hum.

Oh, hey! Look!! BSG is on!! Gotta go!!!!

Oh, by the way, I have come up with a new idea for a book (Thanks to Mandy Patinkin in Dead Like Me). Maybe that’s why I haven’t had a creative streak lately…I’ve been coming up with ideas for books.

It’s ALIVE!!!!
